Bridget Blue – Ni Wewe
Kenya’s well-known R&B and soul singer-songwriter Bridget Blue is ringing in 2022 with the release of her new song “Niwewe,” a poignant track about being sure of your partner, from how you feel about them, to being in a relationship with them based on being consistent instead of doing big things every now and then. The song is about having a partner that has always been there for you and continues being there for you after all this time.

“Niwewe” has a soft or gentle sound and is performed in both English and Swahili. It also expresses comfort from one another, consistency (support) to one another and as proof of genuine love through simply being there for each other when things are going well or when they are challenging, and taking the time to spend together as well as taking the time to be alone, are what defines a long-term, loving relationship instead of through elaborate acts or public displays of affection or love.
