Afande Sele’s “Nitarudi Vipi” reflects on the delicate and unpredictable nature of the path we call human life and how somehow death can cut in at any given moment and therefore he has used these words “Nitarudi Vipi Na Roho yangu” (How can I come back with my soul) to express fear from leaving home not knowing if he will ever return to face the fact that every time you go on a journey you do not know what may happen to you.

The way the song is written it’s almost like a very serious goodbye to his family, he literally says goodbye to each one of them before he leaves and says to God he is praying for them; and it gives you the sense that he is about to leave for a long time and it has made an impression in your mind about how uncertain of life can be; and how necessary faith is when dealing with the unknown.
