CAF Interclub Preliminaries Draw
This follows the announcement by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) that the draw for the 2022-2023 Total Energies CAF Interclub competitions Preliminary Rounds will be conducted today in the next few hours in Cairo.
“The draw for the 2022-2023 Total Energies CAF Interclub competitions Preliminary Rounds will be conducted on today Tuesday, 09 August 2022 in Cairo, Egypt at 5:00 PM East Africa Time.
This draw will mark the beginning of a journey to the 2022/23 season of both Tota lEnergies CAF Champions League and Tota lEnergies Confederation Cup.”

Wydad Athletic Club are the reigning Total Energies CAF Champions League champions. Another Moroccan club, RS Berkane are the defending champions of the Total Energies CAF Confederation Cup – having won the trophy twice in three years.

The Champions Young African and Simba Sc will represent Tanzania in the CAF Champions League while Azam Fc and Geita Gold will participate in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Second Round (Home/Away): 07 – 9 Oct / 14 – 16 Oct 2022
